M9 is the designation of a large-diaphragm microphone capsule manufactured by Microtech Gefell. It uses a 6-micron Mylar film diaphragm, with a 0.1-micron coating of evaporated 24K gold.

According to MTG, M9 diaphragms are individually hand-tensioned for optimal performance.
