Definition of "msc2":
The Hiller MSC-2 was an early model of vacuum tube, designed in Germany by Albert Hiller. It was a triode tube, running on 4V.
Neumann used it in several of its early microphone designs, including for a time the famous Neumann bottle microphone.
In most mic applications, the MSC-2 was replaced by the Telefunken AC701, which was slightly smaller.
