OmnidirectionalBartlett Audio Guitar Mic

Omnidirectional Condenser Microphone

The Bartlett Audio Guitar Mic is a clip-on mini electret condenser designed to provide accurate reproduction of acoustic guitars while allowing the player to move freely in a performance setting.

The felt-covered Soundhole Clip attaches securely inside the soundhole of an acoustic guitar (or oval-hole mandolin family instrument) or the f-hole of an archtop guitar and is easily transferable among instruments.

The Guitar Mic has a decreased low-frequency response to prevent soundhole boominess and to minimize feedback, and reportedly allows a 12dB increase in volume before feedback over a stand-mounted microphone. It contains an integrated 8-foot cord terminating in a brass XLR connector.

The mic can be plugged into an instrument amplifier or mixer. It requires phantom power.

For further variety, Bartlett offers the Guitar Mic in two additional configurations:

  • Guitar Mic B, which is battery-powered from a floor-mounted pack and has a 1/4” output
  • Guitar Mic EJ, which has an endpin jack to install on the instrument and includes an 8-foot detachable 1/4-inch to XLR cable
