Superlux S502
Cardioid Condenser Stereo Microphone
The Superlux S502 is a T-shaped stereo microphone with two small-diaphragm cardioid capsules in fixed-ORTF array.
The S502 copies the form of the Schoeps MSTC 64 U.
The two 1/2-inch true-condenser capsules output to 5-pin XLR jack. 5-pin to dual 3-pin XLR splitter is included. The output circuit appears to be transformerless.
The published frequency-response graph shows a flat response from 120Hz–5kHz, with a gentle +5dB presence peak centered at 10kHz.
The mic ships with a shockmount (p/n HM30) and a 0.6m Y-Splitter Cable (5-pin female XLRF to twin 3-pin XLRM).
