CardioidSterling Audio ST66 Tube

Cardioid Tube Condenser Microphone

The ST66 is a side-address vacuum tube condenser based on the Groove-Tubes GT66.

The mic has fixed-cardioid polar pattern, switchable 75Hz low rolloff, and switchable -10dB pad. A low noise, low heat Groove Tubes 6205 sub-miniature tube is used.

The mic has very high sensitivity, at 35mV/Pa. This is a characteristic of most Groove Tubes and Sterling mics.

The one-inch brass capsule features 3-micron gold-evaporated Mylar diaphragm and unique Disk Resonator for improved high-frequency response. As with all Groove Tubes and Sterling large-condenser capsules, it is “oven baked” to remove residual moisture, helping ensure consistent performance.

The mic ships with: a zippered storage pouch, the SM4 shockmount, a 7-pin XLR cable, and the mic’s power supply (p/n STPSM1).

The Sterling Audio ST66 Tube is also known as: ST-66.
