Samson CL7
Cardioid Condenser Microphone
The CL7 is a large-diaphragm side-address condenser with fixed-cardioid pattern.
Although other Samson models use electret capsules, the CL7 uses a 1.1-inch, 3 micron true condenser capsule.
Two switches on the front of the mic body activate a high-pass filter (rolloff below 100Hz) and -10dB pad.
Sound On Sound - 2004
Tonally it is surprisingly solid and neutral, with plenty of definition, and it works nicely on acoustic guitar as well as vocals. Furthermore, as it has a well-extended low-end response (when the low-cut switch isn’t being used), it also has sufficient range to work with bass instruments.

The mic was released in 2003.
