Cardioid Pencil Condenser Microphone

The sE3 is a pencil condenser microphone with a fixed cardioid pickup pattern. When new, it represented the top of sE’s line of pencil condenser mics; it had better components, an improved capsule, and larger body than its predecessors.

It was replaced in the sE product line by the sE4, which added the option of interchangeable capsules.

The sE3 had onboard switches for a -10dB pad and a high-pass filter.

It shipped in a wooden case with a suspension shockmount.

The SE Electronics sE3 is also known as: sE-3.

The mic was released in 2005.
