Cardioid Condenser Microphone
The Magneto is an entry-level electret condenser microphone with a fixed Cardioid polar pattern. It is intended for use as an all-purpose condenser.
The capsule is a back-electret design, described as a large diaphragm size although specifications have not been released.
We assume the circuit is implemented with surface-mount electronics, as is true of the X1.
The mic ships with a swivel mount. It is available in its standard black finish, or the “limited edition” metallic pink pictured above.

[I]ts open, natural and balanced character will work well on a wide variety of sources. While it doesn’t have the high-end sheen of some large-diaphragm condensers or the low-end weight of others, its neutral, reserved flavour means it can be used to layer multiple instruments without problematic frequency build-up in any area. This makes it a greater starter microphone…
