Cardioid Condenser Microphone
The H1 is a handheld condenser mic, designed for stage vocal use. A 5-layer mesh screen (no foam) protects the capsule from plosives. Internal shockmounting reduces handling noise.
The mic has a true-condenser capsule and requires a full 48V phantom power. Nonetheless it is among the least sensitive condensers on the market; it measures just 2mV/Pa, scarcely more sensitive than the SM58 (a moving-coil dynamic).
Little is known about this budget-priced microphone; after reading three old reviews linked from the sE site that basically regurgitate the sE website’s own copy and specs, I’ve learned only that the H1 contains the same capsule as the sE2a SDC, and that the H1 survives having a beer poured on it.

The mic was released in 2006.
