Pearl Microphone Laboratory CO 22
Omnidirectional Condenser Microphone
The CO 22 is a FET condenser microphone with Pearl’s Model 2800 rectangular dual-diaphragm capsule, configured to produce an omnidirectional pickup pattern.
The Model 2800 capsule uses a thin polyester diaphragm measuring 14x29mm, on a 17x35mm rectangular frame. Read more about the characteristics of rectangular condenser capsules.
Although the mic’s advertised frequency response is 20Hz–25kHz, the -3dB points are closer to 35Hz and 20kHz.
The microphone name is engraved into the body, and painted white to distinguish the CO22 from the CC22 (gold) and CB22 (pink).
The mic ships in a padded aluminum flight case (p/n AC01). Two models of shockmount are available separately:
- Model 1927 - essentially a rubber-lined mic clip
- Model 1928 - a traditional elastic shockmount
The Pearl Microphone Laboratory CO 22 is also known as: CO22.
The mic was released in 2003.
