MXL V67G HE
Cardioid Condenser Microphone
The V67G HE is MXL’s “Heritage Edition” release of the V67G.
It is finished in a metallic silver paint, with gold accents and a chromed grille.
Internally, the microphone is identical to the V67G: the capsule is a 32mm, 6-micron, K67-style capsule; the circuit is 2-stage transistor, “emitter follower” design with a low-ratio (2:1) output transformer.
The circuit provides high-frequency attenuation, much like the Neumann U87, for corrective EQ of the signal from the capsule.
