Lauten Audio LA-220

Cardioid Condenser Microphone

The Lauten LA-220 is a large-diaphragm, fixed cardioid, side-address microphone. It is manufactured in China.

Along with its siblings the LA-120, and the LA-320, it is part of the Lauten “Series Black” line launched in 2016. The line is aimed at budding engineers working in less-than-ideal acoustic spaces.

The LA-220 has independent 12 kHz high cut and 120Hz low cut filters, engaged with switches on the front of the microphone.

The microphone comes in a padded cardboard shipping box with a spider shock mount.
