Cathedral Guitars CG Fathead BE
Bidirectional Ribbon Microphone
Cathedral Guitars’ Fathead BE is a Cascade Fathead BE passive ribbon microphone upgraded with an AMI TR42 bobbin-type ribbon transformer.
The “BE” in the product name stands for “Bare Essentials;” it comes from the original Cascade Microphones name, and contrasts the Fathead BE from the original Fathead, which comes with more accessories. The BE, in both Cascade’s and Cathedral Guitars’ products, includes only a swivel mount and a zipper pouch.
While Cascade offers multiple transformer options for the Fathead and Fathead II, the BE is sold by Cascade only with a Chinese-made transformer. Therefore the Cathedral Guitars CG Fathead BE is the only upgraded version of the Fathead BE available.
