Multi-Pattern Condenser Microphone

The Audix CX-212B is a large diaphragm, multipattern condenser. It is essentially a tripolar version of the CX-112B, as well as a revision of the original CX-212.

The mic features 27.5mm diaphragm (35mm capsule), switchable gentle low roll-off and -10dB pad. The polar pattern can be set to Cardioid, Omni, or Figure-8 via a switch on the microphone body.

The “B” improves upon the CX-212 with better specifications and lighter weight. The B revision uses a center-terminated capsule design, unlike the edge-term capsule in the original.

The CX-212B ships with:

  • Isolation shockmount (SMTCX112)
  • Aluminum carrying case (CASECX)
  • Adjustable one piece metal clip (MC112)

The Audix CX-212B is also known as: CX212B.
