Audio-Technica MB 6k
Cardioid Dynamic Microphone
The MB 6k is a dynamic microphone designed for kick drum, floor tom, and other low-frequency applications.
It has relatively low sensitivity of 1.1 mV/Pa, which is suitable for high-SPL applications. Its frequency response is mildly contoured, with approximately a 5dB “scoop” between the low-frequency boost at 100Hz and the high-frequency boosts at 2.5kHz, 4.5kHz, and 8kHz.
The mic has an integral swiveling stand mount, and all-metal construction for durability.
The mic is part of A-T’s “Midnight Blues” series, but might only be available within Audio-Technica’s MB drum mic kits.
The Audio-Technica MB 6k is also known as: MB6k.
