Hypercardioid Dynamic Microphone
The Audio-Technica ATM25/LE is a limited edition rerelease of the discontinued ATM25 hypercardioid dynamic microphone.
Like its namesake, the ATM25/LE is a compact dynamic intended for close instrument miking, especially drums. Its hypercardioid polar pattern helps reject sounds around and behind the mic, and its Neodymium magnet structure gives it a high output level of 1.9mV/Pa.
The LE is identical to the original ATM25, save for the exterior finish. Like the other 50th Anniversary LE microphones from Audio-Technica, the ATM25/LE has a silver metallic finish with blue accents, and a serial number etched into the body surface.
