Apex Electronics 591
Cardioid Condenser Microphone
Apex 591 is a battery-powered electret condenser with cardioid pattern. It appears to be a rebadged Alctron CM5.
The mic uses a 16mm back electret capsule. It can be powered by internal 9V battery or phantom power.
Two recessed switches provide a 3-way attenuation pad (flat, -10dB, -20dB) and switchable High Pass Filter (-12dB/Octave @ 80Hz).
The Apex591 bears a strong resemblance to the AKG C1000 and Rode M3, all battery-powered electret condensers.
It ships with a hard mount, foam windscreen and nylon sack.
