Apex Electronics 190
Cardioid Pencil Condenser Microphone
The Apex 190 is a short body condenser mic with a back-electret capsule. It is essentially the same mic as the 191, although the 191 has an internal battery compartment.
The mic’s published specifications give a sensitivity value of less than 1mV/Pa, which is lower than nearly every other condenser, and actually lower than the Shure SM7B dynamic microphone. If true, it means the 190 and 191 are only suited to loud sources. Even with high levels of preamp gain, the 190 and 191 would likely have unusably high levels of self-noise.
It ships with a mic clip, foam windscreen and soft carry bag.
The Apex190 is sold individually, and in the DP6 drum package.
