Multi-Pattern Condenser Microphone

AKG’s C4000B is a large-diaphragm multipattern FET condenser with an electret capsule.

AKG C4000B CapsuleThe capsule has two 1-inch (25mm) diaphragms, in a shockmounted capsule assembly.

A switch on the microphone body allows selection of Cardioid, Hypercardioid, or Omni pickup patterns.

The microphone’s self-noise rating is very low, 8dBA.

A switchable 10-dB preattenuation pad allows the C 4000 B to be used for close-in miking of instruments producing extremely high sound pressure levels such as guitar amps etc. A switchable bass cut filter eliminates low-frequency noise.

The C4000B ships with an elastic shockmout (AKG p/n H 85), a flight case, and a foam windscreen.

The AKG Acoustics C 4000 B is also known as: C4000B, C 4000 B.
